Job Title: Associate (account management)

To manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations including documentation, classification, high-value shipment release, and broker support, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely execution of all processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and verify shipping documents (Bills of Lading, invoices, packing lists) in compliance with international trade regulations.

  2. Maintain accurate records and updates.

  3. Resolve discrepancies in documentation and coordinate with internal teams for corrections.

  4. Ensure timely processing of all assigned documentation within agreed Turn-Around-Time (TAT).

  5. Classify goods accurately using HS codes and tariff schedules for customs clearance.

  6. Research and resolve classification queries to ensure compliance with customs regulations.

  7. Maintain classification database and update changes as per regulatory requirements.

  8. Coordinate secure release of high-value shipments, adhering to security protocols.

  9. Verify documentation and clearance before release.

  10. Liaise with operations, security, and customs teams for smooth handover.

  11. Assist brokers with load booking, shipment tracking, and customer/carrier communication.

  12. Prepare quotes, contract, and maintain accurate operational records.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations (0.6 months - 3 years preferred).
  2. Strong knowledge of customs regulations, HS codes, and international shipping documentation.
  3. Basic knowledge in MS Office and Excel with competent typing skills.
  4. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service orientation.
  5. Ability to analyze issues and suggest corrective actions.
  6. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  7. Ready to work in flexible shift schedule[night shift] with rotational days off.
