The Team
At Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), our GCC PEPI practice is a dynamic and integral part of our global operations, collaborating closely with clients and onshore teams to deliver independent, data-driven analysis and comprehensive, end-to-end services across the private equity investment lifecycle. Our team specializes in providing strategic support for critical areas such as due diligence (commercial, operational, financial, IT, and more) and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring our clients achieve sustainable value creation.

Whether addressing underperformance, navigating complex reorganizations, or repositioning businesses for growth, the GCC PEPI team plays a pivotal role in driving impactful transformations.
As a valued member of the A&M GCC PEPI team based in Gurugram, you will have the unique opportunity to work on high-stakes, high-impact projects across multiple geographies and industries. You will engage with clients throughout the entire private equity lifecycle, including:
- Pre-Acquisition Support: Conducting commercial and operational due diligence, carve-out planning, and merger integration to ensure seamless transitions and informed decision-making.
- Transformation and Performance Improvement: Driving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, optimize processes, and deliver measurable results.
- Turnaround and Restructuring: Supporting operational turnarounds and restructuring efforts to stabilize and revitalize underperforming businesses.
- Exit Readiness and Execution: Preparing portfolio companies for successful exits by maximizing value and ensuring strategic alignment.

How will you contribute?
As a member of the GCC PEPI team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-impact solutions to our clients and contributing to the growth of Alvarez & Marsal's entrepreneurial and fast-paced practice. Working closely with Senior Directors and Managing Directors in a flat, collaborative team structure, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your workstreams, deliver results directly to clients and senior leadership, and make a tangible impact on the success of our projects.
This role offers a unique platform to:
- Deliver high-impact solutions across diverse projects, including:
- Commercial Due Diligence: Assessing market dynamics, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities for potential investments.
- Operational Due Diligence: Evaluating operational capabilities, identifying risks, and uncovering opportunities for efficiency and scalability.
- Financial Due Diligence: Analyzing financial performance, identifying key drivers, and assessing the sustainability of earnings.
- IT Due Diligence: Reviewing technology infrastructure, systems, and processes to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Performance Improvement and Transformation: Driving initiatives to optimize operations, enhance profitability, and unlock value for portfolio companies.
- Turnaround and Restructuring: Supporting underperforming businesses in stabilizing operations and implementing recovery strategies.
- Exit Readiness: Preparing portfolio companies for successful exits by maximizing value and ensuring strategic alignment.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership: Work closely with Managing Directors and Senior Directors to design and implement innovative, hands-on solutions for complex business challenges.
- Contribute to Business Development: Actively participate in identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and shaping innovative service offerings tailored to market needs.

Professional Experience
- 3-8 years of experience within a leading strategy or operational consulting firm is highly desirable. Alternatively, relevant experience in private equity, corporate finance, or operations will also be considered.

- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong financial acumen, coupled with a deep understanding of key business and operational drivers.
- Advanced analytical, financial modelling, and presentation-building skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing zero-defect deliverables.
- Familiarity with the private equity lifecycle and the ability to navigate its complexities effectively.
