Role & responsibilities

1. IT Strategy & Governance

  • Define and execute the IT roadmap in alignment with business goals, specially manufacturing, quality control, regulatory compliance, and pan-India sales operations.
  • Establish IT governance frameworks and enforce cybersecurity, data integrity, and compliance policies.
  • Budget planning and cost optimization for IT operations and initiatives.

2. Solution Architecture & Systems Design

  • Design end-to-end architecture for ERP (e.g., Odoo, SAP), CRM, LMS, HRMS, and IoT-integrated MES.
  • Build scalable and modular architecture integrating manufacturing execution, inventory, procurement, sales, and support systems.
  • Enable API-driven interoperability between internal systems and third-party platforms (e.g., telemedicine, diagnostics portals).

3. Application & Platform Development

  • Oversee in-house application development (web/mobile/AI tools) for productivity, service management, and customer experience.
  • Lead adoption and integration of AI technologies (predictive maintenance, demand forecasting, NLP for support chatbots).
  • Enable cloud-native deployment, data lake creation, and analytics platform integration.

4. Automation & Digital Transformation

  • Drive automation across manufacturing (shop floor), sales operations, service tracking, and back-office functions.
  • Implement RPA and workflow engines to eliminate manual dependencies and errors.
  • Ensure systems are capable of handling real-time data, mobility, and predictive analytics.

5. IT Operations & Infrastructure

  • Ensure high availability, data backup, disaster recovery, and secure network infrastructure.
  • Manage vendors, licenses, SLAs, and compliance with ISO, MDR, CDSCO, and other medical device regulations.
  • Lead adoption of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) as per scale and performance needs.

6. Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and manage a cross-functional IT team including developers, system admins, data engineers, security leads, and solution architects.
  • Conduct team skill assessments and training programs to upgrade capabilities in AI, cloud, DevOps, and cybersecurity.
  • Foster innovation, agility, and collaborative culture in the IT function.

Preferred Background:

  • Prior experience in such organization which has manufacturing & Sales Services
  • Led enterprise-wide ERP or automation implementation projects
