Job Purpose

To ensure safe, efficient, and timely transportation services for students and staff by overseeing fleet management, driver supervision, compliance with statutory requirements, and continuous improvement of service quality. The role demands a focus on operational excellence, preventive maintenance, regulatory adherence, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fleet Operations & Timeliness

  • Ensure buses operate with an on-time performance of more than 95%.
  • Monitor daily routes, optimize schedules, and minimize delays.

2. Maintenance & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure all buses are serviced and pollution-checked as per the schedule.
  • Maintain breakdown rates below 4% through preventive maintenance.
  • Keep repair costs for the entire fleet below Rs. 10,000/- per month.
  • Maintain a complete bus repair history book.
  • Ensure average fuel efficiency is not less than 5 KM per KG per bus.

3. Driver Management

  • Verify all bus drivers have valid drivers licenses.
  • Maintain half-yearly reports on drivers' eye tests.
  • Conduct daily alcohol-free verification for all drivers.
  • Ensure driver attendance rate is 99% or higher.
  • Prepare quarterly feedback reports on driver attitude and performance.

4. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all buses have valid registration, insurance, fitness, and CNG certificates.
  • Maintain necessary city permits for operations.
  • Keep ERP and VdersionX data updated daily for audits, ensuring 100% student handover compliance.

5. Safety & Incident Management

  • Maintain detailed reports for all accidents/incidents.
  • Ensure CCTV cameras & GPS in all buses are functional; submit weekly working condition reports.
  • Provide safety and emergency protocol training for drivers and conductors.

6. Customer Service & Feedback

  • Achieve and maintain customer satisfaction ratings above 85%.
  • Ensure all complaints are closed within 72 hours through the complaint management system.
