Housekeeping Manager

A Senior Manager of Housekeeping oversees daily operations, sets cleanliness standards, and manages staff to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. Key responsibilities include training, scheduling, and supervising housekeeping teams, managing inventory of supplies, conducting inspections, handling guest complaints, and collaborating with other departments to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment. Responsibilities

• Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise housekeeping staff, creating duty rosters and schedules to optimize efficiency.
• Quality Control: Set and enforce cleaning protocols and standards, conducting regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas.
• Inventory and Budget: Manage the budget for the housekeeping department, including ordering cleaning supplies and equipment and controlling costs.
• Guest Services: Address guest requests and resolve complaints related to housekeeping to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Operations and Coordination: Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure seamless operations and address any issues promptly.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all staff adhere to health and safety rules and procedures.
• Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for staff, and provide coaching and counseling.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping techniques, equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
• Experience with budgeting and performance analysis is often required.
