Reports To: Restaurant Manager

Job Summary:

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for supporting the restaurant's finance and accounting operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, timely reporting, and compliance with company policies. The role involves handling daily transactions, vendor payments, cash reconciliation, and assisting in preparing financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate day-to-day accounting records for restaurant operations.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices and guest billing adjustments.
  • Assist with payroll preparation and staff expense reimbursements.
  • Record daily sales, cash, credit card, and UPI transactions; reconcile with POS system.
  • Monitor petty cash expenses and prepare monthly reconciliations.
  • Support the preparation of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance documents.
  • Liaise with suppliers for payment follow-ups and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, profit & loss statements, and budget tracking.
  • Coordinate with the Restaurant Manager for daily revenue and expense updates.
  • Ensure all accounting procedures comply with company policies and hospitality industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (hospitality/restaurant industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with GST, TDS, and statutory filings.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
