Position Overview: We are in search of an experienced SAP Security Specialist adept at ensuring the integrity and security of our SAP systems. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience in security roles, particularly in user and role management within SAP environments. This role will entail troubleshooting authorization-related issues, demonstrating proficiency in SAP application security, and effectively communicating client expectations to the engagement team. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Security Role Management Expertise: The candidate must demonstrate a strong background in user and role management, with a particular emphasis on security role design within project environments.
  2. Troubleshooting Authorization Issues: Proficiency in troubleshooting authorization-related issues is essential for this role. The candidate should be adept at identifying and resolving security concerns promptly.
  3. SAP Application Security Knowledge: Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of SAP application security is crucial. This includes understanding implementation methodologies, role-based access controls, and various application threats.
  4. Client Communication: Effective communication of client expectations to the engagement team is vital. The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to translate client requirements into actionable plans.
  5. Role Management and Updates: The candidate will be responsible for managing roles, including updates related to bug fixes, role creation, and design enhancements.
  6. Understanding SAP Authorization Concepts: An in-depth understanding of SAP authorization concepts in both ECC and S/4HANA environments, such as single/composite roles and role derivation, is required.
  7. Independent Problem-Solving: The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work autonomously on complex security and technical issues, exhibiting initiative and resourcefulness.
  8. Desirable Skills: While not mandatory, familiarity with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solutions and SAP Fiori would be advantageous.
