Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled
MS SQL Database Administrator (DBA)
with 4–6 years of hands-on experience in managing, maintaining, and optimizing Microsoft SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of the databases, supporting development teams, and implementing best practices for database management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain
    MS SQL Server databases
    across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Manage database backups, restores, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Implement and maintain
    high availability (HA)
    and
    disaster recovery (DR)
    solutions (e.g., Always On, Mirroring, Log Shipping).
  • Manage user access, roles, and database security in line with organizational policies.
  • Write and optimize
    SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
  • Support database design, data modeling, and schema management.
  • Collaborate with application developers and system administrators for seamless database integration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, processes, and policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience
    as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA.
  • Strong expertise in
    SQL Server 2016/2019 or later versions.
  • In-depth knowledge of
    T-SQL
    , query tuning, and indexing strategies.
  • Experience with
    database replication, clustering, and Always On Availability Groups.
  • Hands-on experience with
    SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS
    is a plus.
  • Proficient in
    backup/restore
    ,
    log management
    , and
    database security management.
  • Familiarity with
    Azure SQL Database
    or
    cloud-based DB management
    is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
