Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Front-End Assistant to join our front office team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests and responsible for delivering exceptional service throughout their stay. You will handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and inquiries, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a welcoming atmosphere
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently using PMS (Property Management System)
- Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications via phone, email, or in person
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain accurate records of guest information and payments
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest needs are met
- Ensure the front desk is always clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies
- Promote hotel amenities and upsell services when appropriate
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and hotel policies
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and ensure data security
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Hotel Management Diploma preferred)
- Proven experience in a front office, receptionist, or customer service role (hotel experience is a plus)
- Proficiency in using computers and hotel software (e.g., Opera, IDS, Cloudbeds, or similar)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
Preferred Skills:
- Multilingual abilities (especially English, Hindi, or local languages)
- Familiarity with POS systems and payment processing
- Knowledge of local attractions, travel options, and hospitality trends
