Hotel Manager

The Hotel Manager oversees the daily operations of the hotel to ensure guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and overall profitability. This role involves leadership across all departments, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, sales, maintenance, and administration.
Key Responsibilities1. Operations Management
- Oversee daily hotel operations and ensure smooth functioning across all departments
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure guest areas and facilities meet brand and quality standards
- Monitor security, safety, and cleanliness compliance
2. Guest Services
- Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction and handle escalated guest issues
- Monitor guest feedback (online and onsite) and implement improvement plans
- Foster a guest-centric service culture among staff
3. Financial & Business Management
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasting, and financial reports
- Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability
- Work with sales and marketing to boost occupancy and average daily rate (ADR)
- Control operating costs without compromising service quality
4. Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and mentor hotel staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage schedules
- Promote teamwork, motivation, and high service standards
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
5. Sales & Marketing Coordination
- Collaborate with the sales team to drive room and event sales
- Participate in promotional campaigns, partnerships, and corporate agreements
- Represent the hotel in community and business events
6. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Maintain brand standards and perform regular audits
- Manage risk, crisis response, and emergency procedures
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred)
- 3–7+ years of hotel or hospitality management experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in hotel management systems (e.g., Opera, PMS)
- Knowledge of financial management and budgeting
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
