Responsibilities

Will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, analyzing market trends, and providing strategic recommendations to support business growth and innovation in the telecommunications sector. This role requires a deep understanding of telecom technologies, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes. To contribute to the delivery of institutional-grade research content and consulting projects Conduct primary and secondary research - includes expert interviews, conference attendance and notes, government agencies database, public companies annual report, etc. Collaborate with team members to devise content production roadmap on a quarterly basis Building deep expertise in the subject matter (Telecommunications) Support ad-hoc requests for client and platform content curation (i.e. newsletters, blogs, macro research, market study, podcasts, etc)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred. 5-7 years (minimum) of experience in telecom research, market analysis, or a related role within the telecommunications industry. Experience working with telecom operators, equipment vendors, or consulting firms is a plus. Technical Expertise

: In-depth knowledge of telecommunications technologies, including wireless networks (4G/5G/6G), fiber optics, satellite communications, and network virtualization (SDN/NFV) etc. Analytical Skills

: Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analysis, with experience using tools like Advanced Excel, Tableau/Power BI for data analysis and visualization etc.. Market Research

: Strong ability to gather, interpret, and synthesize complex data from primary and secondary sources, including industry reports and financial statements. Communication

: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to present complex technical and market insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strategic Thinking

: Ability to translate research findings into actionable business strategies and recommendations. Industry Knowledge

: Familiarity with global telecom markets, telecom operators, equipment manufacturers, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., FCC, ITU). Project Management

: Proven ability to manage multiple research projects, meet deadlines, and work independently or in teams

Preferred Skills:

Excellent Quantitative and Qualitative research skills Strong Powerpoint and Excel (prior use of Notion, Canva, Wordpress is an added advantage, however, not compulsory) Solid problem-solving skills and inquisitive nature allowing you to deliver an effective research product ensuring your credibility as a trusted team member. Excellent research synthesis skills allowing you to draw out key insights and to provide basic data analysis.
