
RGM (Revenue Growth Management) Consultant

We are seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and experienced Revenue Growth Management (RGM) Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in helping our clients optimize their commercial strategies across key RGM levers to drive sustainable growth and profitability. This position demands a holistic understanding of how various commercial levers integrate to achieve strategic business objectives, leveraging cutting-edge analytical approaches including Machine Learning.
Key Responsibilities:RGM Subject Matter Expert (SME): Act as a subject matter expert in Revenue Growth Management, particularly in Pricing and Promotion. Be able to work on and guide solutions utilizing advanced analytical techniques, including Machine Learning (ML), to optimize RGM strategies. Strategic RGM Advisory: Advise clients on best-in-class RGM strategies across the full spectrum of RGM levers: Pricing: Develop and implement optimal pricing strategies (e.g., list price, net price, value-based pricing, competitive pricing).
Promotion: Design effective promotional strategies, including mechanics, calendars, and ROI analysis. Assortment: Optimize product portfolios and assortment mix to maximize sales and profitability within various channels. Mix Management: Analyze and influence product mix (e.g., premium vs. value, pack size) to drive revenue growth.
Trade Terms: Develop and optimize trade terms and conditions with retail partners. Commercial Strategy Design: Lead discussions and workshops to understand client's commercial objectives and translate them into actionable RGM strategies and initiatives. Data Integration & Analysis: Work with diverse data sources (e.g., sales, syndicated data, consumer insights, trade data, cost data) to conduct in-depth analysis, identify growth opportunities, and build robust RGM models.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with client teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, Category Management, Procurement) and internal delivery teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of RGM solutions. Solution Design & Implementation: Contribute to the design, configuration, and testing of RGM analytical tools and platforms, ensuring they meet specific business requirements, with a strong understanding of how these individual components form an integrated solution. Insights & Recommendations: Develop clear, data-driven insights and present compelling recommendations to senior stakeholders, demonstrating the financial impact of proposed RGM initiatives.
Program & Project Management: Demonstrate strong program and project management skills, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality. Capability Building: Support the client in building their internal RGM capabilities through training, workshops, and knowledge transfer. Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
Master's degree preferred. Experience: 10 years of experience in Revenue Growth Management (RGM) within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) / FMCG industry, either in a consulting capacity or within a corporate RGM/Commercial Strategy function.
Demonstrated expertise and SME status across multiple RGM levers (Pricing, Promotion, Assortment, Mix, Trade Terms). Proven experience in designing and implementing commercial strategies that deliver tangible business results. Experience working on models with machine learning (ML) components, specifically in an RGM context, is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and draw actionable conclusions, coupled with a solid understanding of how different components contribute to an integrated solution. Experience working with various data sources relevant to RGM (e.g., POS, panel data, internal sales data, financial data). Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical) and effectively influence stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Proven program and project management capabilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python/R for data analysis is a plus). Ability to travel to client sites as required.
