Role & responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and manage network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points.
  • Perform network troubleshooting and maintenance to ensure uptime and performance.
  • Setup and maintain CCTV surveillance systems, ensuring proper connectivity and data integrity.
  • Carry out server rack mounting, cable management, and physical infrastructure setup.
  • Manage and monitor UPS systems supporting server environments.
  • Conduct heat mapping and environmental analysis for efficient placement of IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for hardware procurement, setup, and support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network layouts, device configurations, and changes.
  • Support in ensuring network security and data protection in compliance with internal and external policies.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong foundation in Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, sub netting).
  • Practical experience with configuring and managing Switches, Routers, Access Points, and Firewalls.
  • Experience in CCTV system installation and management.
  • Familiarity with server rack mounting and UPS power systems.
  • Ability to use heat mapping tools to assess and optimize physical infrastructure setups.
  • Understanding of network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Diploma or Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
  • 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in networking and infrastructure roles.
