Ekfrazo is seeking an experienced, proactive, and client-facing WordPress/PHP Developer to join our core team immediately. The ideal candidate will take ownership of designing, developing, and deploying high-performance, custom WordPress websites and e-commerce solutions (WooCommerce). This role requires deep technical skills, strong professional communication, and the ability to travel independently for on-site client meetings and solution deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Custom Development & Architecture:
  • Design and build custom, scalable WordPress themes and plugins from scratch using object-oriented PHP and modern development standards.
  • Architect and implement robust e-commerce solutions primarily using WooCommerce, including payment gateway integration, customization, and performance tuning.
  • Ensure all code is secure, well-documented, and follows WordPress coding standards and best practices.

Performance and Optimization:

  • Conduct comprehensive performance audits and optimize existing websites for speed, responsiveness, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Implement advanced caching, database optimization, and efficient front-end resource loading (HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript/jQuery).

Client & Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as a technical point of contact, communicating directly with clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.
  • Provide expert advice on WordPress architecture, theme selection, and plugin capability to meet business needs.

Deployment & Maintenance:

  • Manage the full deployment lifecycle, including setting up staging, production environments, and utilizing version control (Git).
  • Provide expert troubleshooting and maintenance for both custom and third-party WordPress/WooCommerce solutions.

Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in PHP and WordPress development.
  • Technical Stack: Expert proficiency in PHP, MySQL, WordPress Core, Custom Plugin/Theme Development, and WooCommerce.
  • Front-End Skills: Strong command over HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/LESS a plus), and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; must be articulate, professional, and capable of holding technical discussions with senior stakeholders.
  • Mobility Requirement (Critical): Must own a personal bike/two-wheeler and be willing to travel to client locations within Bengaluru as required for meetings, integration, or deployment activities.
  • Compensation: Willingness to accept a maximum annual compensation of ₹6,00,000 (₹6 LPA).
  • Joining: Preference for immediate joiners (or those serving a notice period of 15 days or less).

Preferred Skills (Bonus)

  • Experience with MVC frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end libraries (React, Vue) for headless WordPress implementations.
  • Knowledge of basic server management (cPanel, WHM, Linux terminal commands).
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs (REST/SOAP) into WordPress.
