Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Design Engineer, located in Hyderabad. The Design Engineer will be responsible for
designing
Mechanical Components, systems, products using CAD Software like SolidWorks. Execute design projects with minimal supervision. Apply in-depth knowledge of manufacturing techniques including sheet metal, plastics, casting, forging, and fabrication. Generate innovative concepts and conduct design simulations.

Job Description:

· Create detailed technical drawings, specifications and 3D Models

· Conduct feasibility studies including material selections, cost estimation etc.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment with project requirements.

· Use
SolidWorks
and
PLM
tools
for design and documentation.

· Generate innovative concepts and conduct design simulations.

· Perform basic simulation as per requirements.

· Interpret and apply core engineering principles and standards.

· Create and review detailed manufacturing drawings incorporating GD&T

· Basic awareness of teardowns and reverse engineering methods to analyse and improve existing designs.

· Ensure effective planning and communication across cross-functional teams.

· Maintain high-quality documentation and reports throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Preferred Candidate:

  • Proficient in CAD, particularly SolidWorks.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing feasibility and process planning.
  • Experience in part and product simulation.
  • Familiarity with GD&T standards and applications.

Essential Skill set:
