Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled
Design Engineer
with strong experience in the
Aerospace or Automotive domain
. The ideal candidate should have extensive expertise in
CATIA V5
and related design tools, with the ability to handle complex design and modelling tasks. This role requires a detail-oriented engineer passionate about innovation, quality, and precision in design —
excluding wiring/harness work
.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop 3D models and 2D drawings using
    CATIA V5
    .
  • Work on product design, assembly, and detailing in accordance with project standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, analysis) to ensure design feasibility and functionality.
  • Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and ensure adherence to GD&T standards.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace/automotive design standards and processes.
  • Participate in DFMEA, DVP, and design validation activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to design optimization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Mechanical / Automotive / Aerospace Engineering
    or equivalent.
  • 5–8 years
    of experience in
    mechanical design
    within the
    automotive or aerospace industry
    .
  • Proficiency in
    CATIA V5
    (Part Design, Assembly, Drafting, Surface Design).
  • Knowledge of
    PLM systems
    (e.g., ENOVIA, Teamcenter).
  • Strong understanding of
    GD&T, manufacturing processes, and materials
    .
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with
    sheet metal, plastics, or composites
    design is preferred.
  • No harness/wiring design
    involvement.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with other CAD tools (NX, Creo, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Exposure to simulation and analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, HyperMesh) is a plus.
  • Prior experience in
    airframe, interiors, body structure, or engine components
    design.
