Job Purpose:

To assist in laboratory operations related to Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating and electroplating processes, ensuring accurate sample preparation, testing, quality checks, and maintaining lab equipment in compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in daily laboratory operations for PVD coating and electroplating processes.
  • Prepare and maintain chemical baths, solutions, and plating tanks under supervision.
  • Conduct routine tests such as thickness measurement, adhesion, hardness, and corrosion resistance.
  • Support in maintaining process parameters and quality standards.
  • Collect, label, and analyze material samples as per company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records, test reports, and documentation.
  • Assist in calibration and maintenance of lab instruments.
  • Ensure safe handling of chemicals, gases, and laboratory equipment.
  • Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve process-related issues.
  • Follow all safety protocols, ISO standards, and environmental compliance.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Familiar with lab instruments (microscope, spectrometer, thickness tester, pH meter, etc.).
  • Understanding of safety procedures and chemical handling.
  • Good observation, reporting, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, data entry).
  • Teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma / ITI / B.Sc. in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Material Science, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in laboratory work (preferably in coating, electroplating, or metal finishing industry).
  • Freshers with strong technical interest may also apply.
