Manages an organization's financial records, ensures compliance with regulations, and provides financial analysis for decision-making. Key responsibilities include recording transactions, preparing financial statements like balance sheets and income statements, managing payroll and expenses, and assisting with tax preparation and budgeting. Accountants ensure financial health and accuracy through regular analysis, reconciliation of accounts, and internal audits.

Core responsibilities

  • Record and maintain financial data: Collect and organize all financial records, invoices, and expense vouchers accurately.
  • Prepare financial statements: Create key financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage accounts and budgets: Reconcile accounts, process payments, and assist in developing and managing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance: Make sure financial records and tax filings comply with all relevant accounting principles and government regulations.
  • Conduct analysis: Analyze financial data to identify cost-reduction opportunities, track expenses against the budget, and provide insights to management.
  • Support decision-making: Provide financial advice and reports to senior management to support strategic business decision
