Job Overview:
As the Chief of Staff (Technology), you will be a key thought partner to the CTO and SVP of Engineering, driving strategic initiatives, improving operational efficiency, and fostering a high-performing engineering culture. You will play a pivotal role in aligning engineering priorities with business objectives, managing critical programs, and ensuring seamless collaboration across teams. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, executional excellence, and strong leadership to support the growth and scalability of the engineering function.

Job Location: Bangalore / Gurgaon

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the CTO and SVP to define and drive critical engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader company goals and long-term technology strategy.

• Identify inefficiencies and streamline engineering workflows, removing roadblocks and driving process improvements that enhance productivity and execution speed.

• Oversee the execution of high-impact projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with business priorities.

• Act as a bridge between engineering and other teams (Product, Data, Finance, etc.), ensuring seamless communication, collaboration, and goal alignment.

• Support leadership with executive-level reporting and insights, preparing data-driven presentations and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.

• Establish and track key engineering metrics to measure performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive accountability across teams.

• Lead transformation initiatives that enhance engineering culture, improve team effectiveness, and enable scalable growth.

• Manage leadership meetings and track key action items, ensuring priorities are clearly communicated and progress is consistently monitored.

• Support hiring, team development, and talent retention efforts, working closely with leadership to build a strong, engaged, and motivated engineering team.

Qualifications & skills required:

• 7+ years of experience in a strategic, operational, or technical leadership role within an engineering-driven organization.

• Strong engineering or technology background, with a deep understanding of software development, infrastructure, and scaling challenges.

• Proven ability to drive complex initiatives, streamline operations, and improve team efficiency in high-growth, fast-paced environments.

• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information for executive decision-making.

• Experience managing cross-functional collaboration, aligning diverse teams toward shared objectives.

• Strong leadership presence, with the ability to influence senior executives and technical teams alike.

• Prior experience in a startup or scaling organization is a strong plus.
