About the Role

We're looking for a
Brand & Communications Strategist
— a
bridge
between our
internal design team
and
external marketing agency
.

This person will
shape, curate, and articulate Alcove's voice
across platforms — from social media and publications to industry events and award submissions.

You should understand
design thinking, architecture, and spatial storytelling
, and know how to convert that into
engaging, industry-relevant content
.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Direction

  • Work closely with the Founder to define Alcove's annual communication strategy and brand positioning.
  • Translate design insights and project narratives into content that reflects Alcove's tone and philosophy.
  • Plan and manage a quarterly visibility calendar (social media, PR, awards, events, publications).

Content Development

  • Collaborate with designers to extract design stories and translate them into clear, polished written and visual narratives.
  • Review and refine reels, captions, and posts for quality, consistency, and brand tone.
  • Draft opinion pieces, project features, and internal communications.
  • Prepare content for award submissions and presentations.

Liaison & Coordination

  • Act as the single point of contact between Alcove's internal team and external marketing agency.
  • Ensure deliverables are on time, aligned, and of high quality.
  • Coordinate with PR partners, photographers, and collaborators to amplify Alcove's presence.

Industry Awareness

  • Track design trends, media opportunities, and key events where Alcove should participate.
  • Recommend speaking engagements, collaborations, or publications that align with the brand's goals.

Ideal Candidate

  • Background in
    design, interior, décor, lifestyle, design communication
    .
  • 5–10 years of experience in
    design journalism, brand communication, or marketing
    within a creative industry.
  • Strong storytelling skills — both visual and verbal.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Deep understanding of India's architecture and interior design ecosystem.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to translate creative ideas into structured action.
