Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead critical initiatives within PayPal's Collections Platform team. This platform plays a key role in enabling intelligent, scalable, and compliant recovery solutions across the customer lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of platform thinking, technical product development, and the Credit business. You will work cross-functionally to deliver robust and extensible product capabilities, ensuring a seamless customer experience and driving meaningful recovery outcomes.As we invest in the future of collections, experience with Generative AI and agent-based automation is highly preferred, as we are actively exploring opportunities to integrate AI agents into collection flows to improve efficiency, compliance, and personalization.

Job Description:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for key areas within the Collections Platform.
  • Lead product discovery, define detailed product requirements, and manage end-to-end execution with engineering, design, and data science partners.
  • Champion the use of Generative AI/Agent-based automation to create more intelligent, responsive, and scalable debt recovery systems.
  • Collaborate with Architecture and Engineering to evaluate technical solutions, trade-offs, and delivery plans in an Agile environment.
  • Partner with business strategy and analytics teams to identify trends, discover new opportunities, and measure impact.
  • Drive experimentation through A/B testing, customer feedback, competitive research, and usability studies.
  • Own and monitor key product and platform metrics to continuously improve functionality, performance, and user experience.
  • Align with Legal, Compliance, and Privacy teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements across regions.
  • Serve as a strong advocate for platform excellence, customer empathy, and long-term scalability.

Minimum Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field required. MBA or Master's degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in technical product management, with a proven track record of launching and scaling platforms or infrastructure products.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and/or Python for data analysis and experimentation.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex product areas across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Prior experience or strong familiarity with Credit, Risk, or Payments domains is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Generative AI models or conversational/agent-based AI applications is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; capable of influencing at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and a bias for action.
