To plan, develop, issue, and administer construction contracts/work orders in a multiple project scenario, optimize cost.

Reports to: Construction Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop appropriate work-order templates for all activities and work packages across the entire project life cycle, such as surveys, temporary works, piling, earthwork, main civil works, finishing works, MEPF, elevators, parking systems, infrastructure works, etc. Develop appropriate terms of appointment for professionals such as architects and consultants.
  2. Provide inputs for reliable budgets.
  3. Develop and maintain an approved vendor list.
  4. Implement the work order plan as per the construction schedule.
  5. Administer the contracts. Monitor delivery of all contractual obligations.
  6. Approve payment certificates after verification of interim or final invoices.
  7. Provide progress reports with updated values of actual work done, bills received, payments made and cost to complete.
  8. Provide expected cash outflows for the coming month/quarter based on the work order plan and updated status.

Candidate Profile:

  • Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech.—Civil Engineering from a recognized university. Postgraduate specialization in contract management is advantageous.
  • Experience: Hands-on experience of 10+ years in the field of real estate residential/commercial high-rise construction in Mumbai in contracting and contract administration.
  • Flair for vendor management, rate analysis, and cost control.
  • Excellent command over technical language in expressing appropriate legal and other terms of contracts.
  • Adept at negotiations and contractual correspondence.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
