Job Summary:

The AutoCAD Surveyor is responsible for preparing, updating, and maintaining accurate survey drawings, maps, and plans using AutoCAD and related software. This role involves working closely with field survey teams and engineers to process survey data, produce topographic and boundary maps, and support design and construction projects with precise drafting work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Import and process survey data from field equipment (e.g., total station, GPS, drones).
  • Draft and update topographic, boundary, as-built, and construction survey drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar CAD platforms.
  • Review field notes, sketches, and raw survey data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare digital terrain models (DTMs), contours, and cross-sections.
  • Maintain drawing organization, layering standards, and file naming conventions.
  • Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and architects to ensure data integrity and project alignment.
  • Perform quality control checks on survey drawings and ensure compliance with company and client standards.
  • Assist in preparing survey deliverables such as plats, legal descriptions, and alignment sheets.
