Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Planning Engineer with 8 to 10 years of proven expertise in construction project planning and scheduling. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, analyzing project progress, and providing strategic input to support project delivery within time and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
  • Prepare baseline schedules and maintain periodic updates (weekly/monthly).
  • Monitor project progress and highlight deviations from the baseline plan.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and site teams to ensure accurate and realistic planning.
  • Perform delay analysis, identify critical path activities, and recommend recovery plans.
  • Develop resource and cost-loaded schedules and perform earned value management (EVM) analysis.
  • Generate progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, and look-ahead schedules.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing planning inputs and advising on schedule risks.
  • Support in extension of time (EOT) claims, and preparation of delay impact analysis reports.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on planning and scheduling matters.
  • Ensure compliance with project planning procedures and contractual obligations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in planning and scheduling in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, construction methodologies, and contract management (e.g., FIDIC).
  • Familiar with cost control, resource planning, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
