Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and related hardware and software.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high levels of availability and security.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Maintain and update system documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Apply OS patches, security updates, and upgrades on a regular basis.
  • Manage backups and disaster recovery planning/testing.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end users and IT team members.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
  • Monitor logs and alerts for unusual activity and respond to security incidents.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to support system needs.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors/Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in system administration or related role.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server & Client OS.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policies, and Office 365.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell) is a plus.
  • Understanding of backup solutions and disaster recovery tools.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and log management (e.g.,, Zabbix).

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to be on-call for critical issues when necessary.
