Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Procurement Trader to handle sourcing, purchasing, and trading operations for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical and product knowledge, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and proven negotiation and supplier management capabilities. This role requires expertise in ensuring competitive pricing, consistent quality, and timely procurement to support the company's domestic and international trading operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for ferrous and non-ferrous metals (including scrap, ingots, billets, HMS, aluminum, copper, etc.).

* Utilize strong technical and product knowledge to assess material quality, grades, and specifications.

* Negotiate purchase terms, pricing, and contracts to secure the most competitive and sustainable deals.

* Monitor global and domestic market trends, price fluctuations, and competitor activity to make data-driven trading decisions.

* Build, maintain, and expand a strong network of suppliers and business partners across multiple geographies.

* Coordinate closely with logistics, quality control, and finance teams to ensure smooth and efficient execution of purchase orders.

* Plan and manage procurement schedules, inventory levels, and order fulfillment in alignment with company targets.

* Conduct regular supplier performance assessments and maintain an updated vendor database.

* Prepare and present detailed daily/weekly purchase, price, and market reports for management review.

* Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, trading regulations, and international trade standards.

* Explore new sourcing opportunities, alternate supply routes, and emerging markets to strengthen the company's trading portfolio.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Metallurgy, or a related field. (MBA preferred.)

* Experience: 3–6 years of proven experience in metal procurement or trading (ferrous and non-ferrous).

* Industry Expertise: In-depth understanding of metal grades, technical specifications, and pricing mechanisms in both domestic and global markets.

Skills & Competencies:

* Strong technical and product knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

* Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.

* Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and trading platforms.

* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and forecast trends.

* High attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism

* Strong commercial acumen and strategic sourcing mindset.
