Job Title: Zabbix Developer

Zabbix Developer to design, implement, and automate advanced monitoring solutions using Zabbix. The role involves full-feature implementation, integration, and alert correlation to ensure proactive and intelligent incident management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and deploy Zabbix monitoring solutions for servers, applications, networks, and cloud environments.
  • Develop custom templates, discovery rules, triggers, dashboards, and alert correlation logic to reduce noise and improve incident accuracy.
  • Implement event correlation strategies to group related alerts and minimize false positives.
  • Automate Zabbix configurations using APIs, scripts, and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
  • Integrate Zabbix with ITSM tools, collaboration platforms, and visualization tools
  • Optimize Zabbix performance for scalability and high availability.
  • Define and maintain alerting policies, escalation workflows, and SLA-based notifications.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure teams to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage.
  • Maintain documentation and provide training on Zabbix and alert correlation best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Zabbix (v5.x or later).
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Perl.
  • Expertise in Zabbix API for automation and integration.
  • Experience in alert/event correlation techniques and reducing alert fatigue.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems administration.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (SNMP, ICMP, TCP/IP).
  • Experience with databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) used by Zabbix.
  • CI/CD pipeline integration experience.
  • Cloud monitoring experience.
  • Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • BE/BTech/BS/MS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent with Minimum 3 years of related technical experience.
