Accounts and Finance Officers

BACKGROUND

We are a science and rationality promoting NGO of Gujarat that is embarking on major impacting initiatives for empowerment and social, inter-faith harmony. With the HO at Paldi, Ahmedabad [with a mini hostel], and a major campus at Matar 40KMs from Ahmedabad we seek accounts and finance officers at 3 levels.

SYNOPSIS

1. Jr Accountants: 1-2; Compensation around Rs. 1.5L/PA; Min 1-yr exp on FAS; B.Com or equivalent; at Ahmedabad or at Matar with subsidized boarding and lodging.

2. Accounts Officer: 1-2; Compensation around Rs. 2.5L/PA; Min 1-yr supervisory exp in accounts plus 1 yr in finance; M.Com / MBA / Inter CA or equivalent; at Ahmedabad or at Matar with subsidized boarding and lodging.

3. Finance Manager: 1; Compensation around Rs. 3.0L /PA; Min 3-yr executive exp in finance including 1 yr in resource mobilization; Masters in Finance; at Ahmedabad or at Matar with subsidized boarding and lodging.

Compensation grows in monthly increments. Systematic and transparent work assessment and reward/punishment policy. Employment for the spouse is possible. Ideal for outstation candidates. [Freshers please check below]

Requirements:

• Dexterous with Tally or Busy
• Excellent understanding of book keeping and accounts, business processes and statutory requirements.
• Should know good MS Excel, and functional Word and mailing.
• Be meticulous and a stickler for procedures, protocols and systems and should be punctual and diligent.
• Should be courteous yet firm, affable yet discrete, accessible but also reserved and dignified.

Education and Experience:

Progressively, graduate or post graduate degrees in commerce, finance, costing, sourcing and financial management expected as per rank. The higher the rank the longer and the deeper the education and experience - from Accounting to Financial management and resource mobilization.

Additionally

Experience or proven capabilities in innovative fund sourcing from national/international corporates, CSR, and NGOs, developmental agencies, UN affiliates, social media supported fund raising and private patronage sourcing from good Samaritans and philanthropists will earn higher grade, pay and perks.

Responsibilities:

Basic:

• Reliable and foolproof handling of all manual and digital book-keeping and accounting work, safe-keeping and preservation of books of accounts, securities, instruments, documents and keys.
• Basic administration, housekeeping, cash and bank, record-keeping, reporting and post selection HR

Depending upon the rank additional responsibilities may be included such as statutory compliances, international exchanges, Board and Committee meeting protocols and minutes, and HR sourcing

FOR FRESHERS

For inexperienced candiates a 3-month internship with FREE food and accommodation may be considered at Matar or at Ahmedabad HO. On satisfactory completion a guaranteed regular job will be offered in a suitable grade commensurate with education and experience.
