 Job description of F&A-Finance and Account Manager-FMCG ❖ Job title: F&A-Finance and Account Manager-FMCG Manufacturing ❖ Department: Finance and Account ❖ Geography covered: Corporate office, Manufacturing Unit. ❖ Reports to: F&A Director ❖ Matrix: Management Consultant, HR ❖ Summary: The F&A Manager is a vital role responsible for overseeing the financial health and accounting function of the company. This individual will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, manage internal controls, and maintain statutory compliance. They will also play a key role in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support informed business decisions. ❖ Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Oversee the closing of financial books and preparation of financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annually).
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to management for informed decision-making.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Oversee the F&A team (if applicable) and provide coaching and development opportunities.
• Prepare and manage budgets and forecasts.
• Manage cash flow and maintain healthy relationships with banks.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures.
❖ Key Results Areas (KRAs): 1. Financial Reporting Accuracy & Timeliness: Ensure all financial statements are accurate, complete, and submitted within designated deadlines. 2. Internal Controls & Data Integrity: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard financial data and assets. 3. Financial Compliance: Adhere to all relevant financial regulations and reporting standards. 4. Financial Analysis & Insights: Provide insightful financial analysis and reports to support management decisions. 5. Budgeting & Forecasting Accuracy: Develop and maintain accurate budgets & forecasts to guide business planning. 6. Cash Flow Management: Effectively manage cash flow to ensure financial stability. 7. Cost Management: Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability. 8. Team Management & Development: (if applicable) Build and lead a high-performing F&A team. 9. Relationship Building: Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders (auditors, banks). 10. Process Efficiency: Continuously strive to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of F&A processes. ❖ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): 1. Number of accounting errors identified and corrected. 2. Timeliness of financial statement submission. 3. Number of internal control deficiencies identified and resolved. 4. Number of non-compliance issues identified and rectified. 5. Variance between actual and budgeted financial results. 6. Cash flow cycle length. 7. Cost reduction achieved through identified measures. 8. Employee engagement and performance metrics (if applicable). 9. Quality of communication and feedback received from stakeholders. 10. Completion time for key F&A processes (e.g., month-end closing).
❖ Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA-Inter CA preferred).
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in a finance and accounting role.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., GenNext ERP, Tally etc). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Time management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge: Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and financial analysis techniques. Working knowledge of relevant financial regulations and tax laws. Additional Desirable Skills:
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
• Knowledge of internal controls frameworks.
• Experience with financial modelling tools (e.g., Excel).
• Experience in a supervisory role (if applicable). Desired Certifications:
• Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) (preferred).
• Other relevant accounting or finance certifications (e.g., Inter CA).
