Role & responsibilities
Generate and manage enquiries from OEMs, End Users, EPC contractors, and Consultants
Conduct technical discussions with customers to understand application requirements and propose control valve solutions
Coordinate with internal Application Engineering Team for accurate and timely submission of techno-commercial proposals
Handle full sales cycle: proposal submission, follow-ups, negotiation, order closure
Lead pricing discussions with customers while ensuring profitability and alignment with company strategy
Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key accounts
Maintain sales pipeline, reporting, and forecasting accuracy
Provide market intelligence and competitor analysis to management
Attend site visits, customer meetings, and product positioning sessions as required
Ensure CRM tools and sales reports are consistently updated
Preferred candidate profile
Education:
BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Chemical Engineering
MBA in Marketing (preferred but not mandatory)
Diploma holders with strong technical sales experience (8+ years) may also be considered
Experience:
6 to 8 years in B2B Sales & Marketing of industrial products like:
Control Valves / Actuators
Pumps / Compressors / Steam Equipment
Instrumentation (Transmitters, Gauges, Flow Meters, etc.)
Boilers, Thermic Fluid Heaters, Process Equipment
Piping, Fans, Blowers, Motors, or Turnkey Projects
Industry Background:
Valves & Flow Control
Power / Oil & Gas / Water Treatment
EPCs, OEMs, or Process Plants
Technical Competence:
Understanding of control valve applications and sizing
Exposure to industrial automation or instrumentation
Ability to read and understand technical drawings/specifications
Behavioral Traits:
High ownership and result-oriented approach
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Self-driven, with the ability to work independently
Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Willingness to travel frequently for client visits
Other Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho)
Virtual meeting skills (Zoom, Google Meet, MS Teams)
