Position Summary

The Head of Human Resources is a senior leadership role responsible for driving all HR functions across the hotel, including talent acquisition, training and development, employee engagement, performance management, labor compliance, and cultural development. This role partners closely with hotel leadership to ensure that our workforce supports our service standards, operational excellence, and brand promise.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead workforce planning and organizational development initiatives in line with seasonal and long-term business needs.
  • Champion a culture of hospitality, professionalism, diversity, and inclusion.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Oversee recruitment for all hotel departments, ensuring a high standard of talent aligned with the Seven Seas service philosophy.
  • Develop and manage onboarding programs that immerse new employees in the hotels brand, values, and service expectations.

Training & Development

  • Design and deliver training programs to support service excellence, leadership development, and compliance.
  • Lead efforts for continuous learning and upskilling, ensuring guest-facing teams meet luxury service standards.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Promote a positive, respectful, and motivating workplace environment.
  • Design and implement initiatives to boost employee morale, engagement, and retention.
  • Conduct regular employee surveys and feedback sessions, and act on insights gathered.

Performance Management & HR Operations

  • Manage performance appraisal processes and support departmental leaders in coaching and employee development.
  • Ensure consistent application of hotel policies, disciplinary processes, and labor law compliance.
  • Oversee HRIS systems and maintain accurate personnel records.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Partner with Finance to manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Lead efforts to maintain equitable, compliant, and motivating pay structures.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, health and safety regulations, and hospitality industry standards.
  • Manage employee relations issues and resolve conflicts professionally and promptly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 12+ years of progressive HR experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of luxury hotel operations and service standards.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing HR teams.
  • Deep knowledge of local labor laws and hospitality HR best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and data-driven decision-making.
