Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Looker dashboards, reports, and data models.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and data engineers to translate business needs into BI solutions.
  • Optimize LookML models for performance, scalability, and usability.
  • Implement best practices in Looker development (naming conventions, folder structures, security, etc.).
  • Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure data pipelines are optimized for reporting.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to data accuracy, dashboard performance, and access controls.
  • Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on BI experience, with at least 3+ years dedicated to Looker.
  • Strong proficiency in LookML, SQL, and data modeling.
  • Good understanding of data warehousing concepts (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar).
  • Experience integrating Looker with cloud data platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).
  • Ability to understand business KPIs and translate them into meaningful visualizations.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Python or ETL tools for data processing.
  • Exposure to other BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
  • Knowledge of data governance and security models in BI.
