About Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer to join our R&D team. In this key position, you will work closely with our product team to develop our distinctive product offering. A core focus of your role will be designing and implementing complex, scalable, and fault-tolerant backend systems.
As a Staff Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping team projects, delivering large-scale solutions to intricate problems, and driving strategic impact. You will also be instrumental in nurturing the growth of other engineers, guiding them into leadership positions through mentorship and coaching. By embodying high standards and championing their development, you will empower them to fully realize their capabilities.
As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for engaging with customers to understand their deployment and product issues. You will then collaborate with the engineering and product teams to resolve these issues.
What you'll do:Responsibilities:
- Software Development Lifecycle: Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software systems.
- Backend Services: Create backend services that integrate with and ingest data from various on-premise data centers and cloud providers.
- Technical Ownership: Take end-to-end responsibility for technical design, execution, delivery of products ensuring system scalability and meeting high customer demands.
- Performance & Innovation: Identify and resolve software stack bottlenecks and continuously drive product innovation.
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship, fostering team growth and helping individuals become effective coaches.
- Strategic Influence: Influence designs and plans beyond a single project or team, contributing both tactically and strategically.
- Process Improvement: Innovate within your area, proposing and executing process improvements and technical initiatives to enhance team productivity.
- Domain Expertise: Serve as the domain expert, assisting the product team with future directions and leading technology initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely and rapidly with engineers, product designers, and other key stakeholders to ensure work addresses real-world problems and accelerates business growth.
- Agile Operations: Operate in an agile environment, focusing on high velocity and adapting quickly to new insights and business needs.
- Customer Engagement: Collaborate closely with customers to assist with product deployment and address product issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Over 12 years of industry experience, with a proven track record of solving complex problems.
- Strong proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Go, Java, C/C++, Scala, or Python.
- Experience in architecting and developing large-scale systems, coupled with strong proficiency in distributed systems and data storage concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to guide other engineers in the design and implementation of scalable software solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and their interaction with Active Directory.
- Strong proficiency in Active Directory or Entra-ID concepts.
- Experience working within the Microsoft Windows ecosystem.
- Solid understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts, with exposure to IAM services like OKTA or AWS IAM.
- Familiarity with identity security concepts (Users, groups, roles, NHI, etc.) is a plus.
