About the Role

We're looking for a
Staff Engineer (Individual Contributor)
to design, build, and optimize systems across back office, middle office, trading, and wealth management domains. You'll play a key technical role in developing scalable, reliable, and secure solutions within the financial ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement distributed, high-performance systems for trading, portfolio management, reconciliation, and settlements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps, and Data) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Ensure system reliability, scalability, and low-latency performance in financial operations.
  • Integrate with internal and external APIs, market data feeds, and financial platforms.
  • Drive technical design reviews, best practices, and performance optimizations.
  • Mentor junior engineers in technical problem-solving while remaining hands-on in development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a
    backend or full-stack engineer
    , preferably in fintech, trading, or wealth management.
  • Strong programming skills in
    Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python
    (experience with microservices preferred).
  • Solid understanding of
    financial workflows
    — order management, settlements, risk, compliance, or portfolio tracking.
  • Experience with
    databases
    (SQL/NoSQL),
    message queues
    (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and
    cloud platforms
    (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Excellent problem-solving, ownership, and communication skills.
