Process Overview*

The Global Payment Operations (GPO) organization delivers global wire transfers and ACH payments for internal and external bank clients and supports end-to-end payment execution and investigations for transactions initiated through various channels. The team also provides sanctions screening on transactions for multiple products, in accordance with policies established by the Global Economic Sanctions Compliance team.

Global Payments Support & Enablement (GPSE) CoE is responsible for various Testing / Change Management engagements encompassing Payment platforms for EMEA, APAC, US, and Canada regions. GPSE resources ensure Enterprise Change documentation and procedures are followed for compliance with the Change MRA2 governance.

This job is responsible for managing medium to large projects for an operations department or Line of Business. Key responsibilities include determining appropriate test methods, coordinating execution across stakeholders and test groups, managing project scope, planning, organizing, directing the execution of test plans and scripts, and working closely with management on project impact and direction. Job expectations include acting as the first point of contact for end-to-end project status, project health, mitigation, and timely escalation to leadership and stakeholders. They will also define the project scope to others outside of operations that may become involved in or impacted by the project. This role requires a thorough knowledge of the operations area to assess and analyze the impact of new initiatives on the team.

Responsibilities*

• Determines testing methods needed for assigned projects, educates resources, partners with all testing teams engaged, and provides reporting for the overall testing throughout the testing process.
• Manages and directs project parameters, costs, project testing execution, and resource allocation.
• Partners with operations management on creating project impact and providing direction and guidance to internal teams.
• Coordinates the development of key project deliverables in partnership with various key internal and external business partners.
• Manages and leads the execution of multiple and often competing priorities to meet deadlines and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Establishes project status routines and tracks critical path deadlines and overall business measures for success.
• Leads defect resolution and roadblock clearing efforts to enable successful completion of testing.
• Acts as the primary point of contact and integration for the assigned projects.
• Drives the end-to-end integration of various work streams to deliver the intended project solution, including requirements gathering, data mapping, project execution, integration, and implementation.
• Obtains and aligns resources to key project roles.
• Directs the work efforts of resources that may be functionally aligned as part of the project.
• Manages the project scope, timeline, and budget/expenses.
• Establishes clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities across project participants.
• Leads risk management and mitigation planning readiness, change adoption, stakeholder management, and quality assurance.
• Ensures all applicable change requirements are satisfied.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with projects, production support activities, and/or payment operations.
• Cross-functional with strong business analysis, problem-solving, quality management, and organization skills.
• Skilled in translating business requirements into technical requirements.
• Strives to bring new thoughts and ideas to teams to drive innovation and unique solutions.
• Experience in connecting with a diverse set of clients to understand future business needs is a continuous learner.
• Participates in and drives collaborative efforts to advance tools, technology, and ways of working to better serve an evolving client base.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to learn and adapt to change.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.

Experience Range*

Foundational skills*

• Working knowledge of SWIFT, ISO 20022 formats, low-value and high-value clearings such as Target 2, Fed Wire, CHIPS, USACH, BACS, etc. (preferably in-depth knowledge of implementing platforms that process these types of payments).
• Experience in the Agile software delivery methodology.
• Experience with large-scale projects/project management.
• Executive reporting and presentation skills.
