We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with expertise in the oil and gas sector and risk domain knowledge.

You will leverage your experience to bridge business and IT, ensuring effective solutions to support market and credit risk functions. This role demands a strong ability to analyze processes, manage requirements, and engage stakeholders. You will contribute to strategic initiatives by providing end-to-end business analysis and acting as a subject matter expert. Responsibilities

• Define and document business and functional requirements with thorough traceability
• Analyze current processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements for efficiency and effectiveness
• Lead stakeholder workshops and manage communications to align solutions with business needs
• Develop and validate acceptance criteria, support user acceptance testing to confirm deliverables meet requirements
• Serve as subject matter expert for business analysis in strategic initiatives and projects
• Balance priorities across multiple tasks and facilitate communication between business and IT teams
• Translate complex business needs into clear user stories and specifications
• Create reports and dashboards using Excel, SQL, and Power BI/Tableau to support decision-making
• Utilize Agile and Waterfall methodologies to deliver projects efficiently
• Facilitate workshops and walkthroughs to ensure stakeholder engagement and understanding
• Support risk management functions by applying knowledge of market and credit risk concepts and reporting
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the integration of business requirements with system capabilities
• Monitor performance of implemented solutions and suggest continuous improvements
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for business processes and requirements
• Promote knowledge sharing and lead analysis efforts within the team

Requirements

• 7 to 9 years of experience in business analysis with a focus on risk domains
• In-depth knowledge of market risk functions, including commodity derivatives and price curve concepts
• Background in credit risk concepts such as LGD, ECL, PD, and PFE and related reporting practices
• Proficiency in managing requirements, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement techniques
• Experience with market risk metrics like value at risk and stress testing
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into clear documentation
• Capability to lead workshops and facilitate effective stakeholder collaboration
• Familiarity with business analysis tools, including Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, JIRA, and Confluence
• Understanding of both Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies
• Experience in the oil and gas industry or commodity trading businesses

Nice to have

• Certifications in business process modeling or change management
• Experience with UI/UX design thinking and data visualization techniques
• Knowledge of generative AI applications and storytelling in analytics
• Familiarity with ETRM systems such as Endur and Aligne
• Understanding of commodity market regulations and trading lifecycle
