  • Corporate Bank Operations (CB Operations) is an integrated delivery model, in a continuous process of front-to-back alignment providing transaction, reporting and cash management services to Deutsche Banks multi-asset global businesses including CB Business Cash Management, Trust and Agency Services, Trade Finance and Lending, as well as Security Services.
  • Deutsche Bank is going through a significant transformation of its front-to-back operations including IBCPO, marked as one of the banks top 3 transformation agendas.
  • The role will report to the India Head of Investment Bank and Cross Product F2B Operations.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Vice President (VP) - Data Engineer / Data Analyst to join our Corporate Banking Front-to-Back (F2B) Operations Transformation team. The ideal candidate will drive the transformation agenda through advanced data engineering and analytics capabilities, enabling efficient, data-driven decision-making to streamline and enhance our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Engineering

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support the F2B operations transformation initiatives.
  • Integrate and harmonize data from multiple banking systems (e.g., transaction systems, trade finance, risk, compliance).
  • Develop ETL/ELT processes ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to deploy and optimize data platforms (cloud/on-premise).
  • Automate data ingestion, validation, and reporting processes to improve operational efficiency.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze complex operational data to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for automation and process improvements.
  • Create actionable insights and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Support scenario modeling and forecasting for operational risk and performance.
  • Partner with business units to translate requirements into data solutions.

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

  • Act as a key liaison between data teams, business operations, and transformation leads to ensure alignment on objectives.
  • Lead and mentor junior data engineers and analysts within the team.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, driving adoption of data-driven approaches.
  • Manage data governance and compliance adherence within all projects.
