Job Summary

  • The role of Senior Manager Business Design Analyst is part of the Standard Chartered HR Transformation team and will report into a Vice President, Digital Design and Enablement role. This role covers all aspects of business process and digital design from business requirements gathering to solution design, delivery and supporting change and enablement of digital solutions. The role will also support driving of innovation and new (agile) ways of working at the bank.

  • A successful candidate is an experienced business analyst with a proven track-record in delivering complex digital HR transformation projects in large organisations with agile methodology. Subject matter expertise in HR functional process, solution design, and a working knowledge of technology, other functional processes and change management is essential. Experience with SuccessFactors -EC Core and other case management digital solutions would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of new services and initiatives on the Success Factors platform, ensuring they are aligned with our employee-centric approach.
  • Quickly assess complex problems, requirements, and escalations to support decision making activities.
  • Understand risks, business imperatives and business context when supporting decision making impacted by the process re-design, create solution options, and make recommendations.
  • Present clear options and recommendations and enable clear understanding in key stakeholders of risks, outcomes, and trade-offs
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance checks to ensure the high quality of stories written for development, paying close attention to employee-centricity and usability.
  • Collaborate with the SuccessFactors -EC Core development team to establish and maintain quality standards, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance the employee experience by identifying areas for improvement and proposing innovative solutions.

Strategy

  • To drive programme efforts to drive service excellence and enhance employee experience through employee listening, feedback analysis, and continuous improvement .
  • Lead conversations around the latest developments in technology innovative and solution design to be considered for digital implementation and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Drive activities related to analysis, building of tools, templates and other enablers to drive innovation and experimentation in the portfolio.
  • Oversee key project initiatives and facilitate cross functional collaboration.
  • Drive upskilling, reskilling and experimentation efforts to drive the bank's future ready transformation digital design capability.

Risk Management

  • Ensure HR Services deliver effective management of operational risks in compliance with applicable internal policies, external laws and regulations at a global level
  • Act to minimise operational loss and audit failures and take proactive measures to respond to matters arising, identify and manage forward looking risks
  • Embed the Group's values and code of conduct across the team and larger function
  • Ensure that Risk Management matters that are brought to the job holder's attention are subject to direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate reporting to the appropriate Risk Committees

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Work with the HR COO team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance

Key stakeholders

  • Programme Manager, Product Owner, Global People Services (GPS), Vendors, Enterprise Technology squad, HR Digital Service and Experience team, Core HR Transformation team, Functional teams
  • HR COO team, CoE leads, Country HR Service Delivery, Heads of HR, HRBPs, Country Subject Matter
  • Change and Enablement teams, Internal communications team, Corporate Communications team
  • Key Functional Partners: Innovation Technology Office (ITO), Finance, Property, Compliance, Legal and Risk

Other Responsibilities

  • Support on all key activities required to implement the Digital Design and Enablement strategy, approach, and plan
  • Coordinate key project initiatives and facilitate cross functional collaboration.
  • Support design and enablement leads in building a foundation on Agile and Digital with a focus on new ways of designing, enabling, and delivering solutions across initiatives.
  • Support upskilling, reskilling and experimentation efforts to drive the bank's future ready transformation digital design capability.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in digital transformation delivering projects related to business process and digital design
  • A self-starter who possesses a growth mindset to facilitate problem solving, innovation and promote organisational agility
  • Passionate about digital innovation and human centred design
  • Experience in business transformation with a working knowledge of change management
  • Subject matter expertise in HR functional processes
  • Working knowledge of other functional areas (IT, Finance, Property, Legal and compliance)
  • Experience working with SuccessFactor -EC Core and other HR Information systems
  • Agile certification, equivalent or professional experience in agile projects
