Job Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Accountant to join our team in Pune. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with up to 6 years of experience in the accounting field. The role involves managing financial reporting, taxation, and compliance with GST norms, alongside handling accounts receivable and payable, and overseeing cost accounting tasks to ensure financial accuracy and stability for the company.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in financial reporting to support management in decision making processes based on financial data.
  • Strong understanding of taxation policies to ensure compliance and efficient handling of tax-related matters.
  • Proficiency in cost accounting to analyze financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Experience with GST compliance to ensure all transactions comply with government regulations and requirements.
  • Ability to manage accounts receivable processes including invoice management, payments, and credit controls.
  • Competence in accounts payable processes to efficiently manage outgoing transactions and vendor relationships.
  • Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field to ensure solid foundation in accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail ensuring precision in financial documentation and transactions.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with industry norms and company policies.
  • Handle all aspects of the company's taxation, ensuring timely filing and compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Oversee and manage the periodic financial close process, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure all entries are accurately recorded and matched.
  • Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to maintain accurate financial documentation and control.
  • Perform cost accounting activities to aid in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts.
  • Implement and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls within the organization.
  • Collaborate with auditors and ensure proper documentation and communication for all audit procedures.
