Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant, based in Pune. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing accurate reports, managing accounts payable and receivable and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Day-to-day tasks include preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, managing budgets, and assisting with audits. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions. You will be responsible for :

  • Maintain books of accounts and prepare monthly/annual financial statements
  • Manage Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Handle GST, TDS, PF, ESI filings and ensure statutory compliance
  • Perform bank, vendor, and ledger reconciliations
  • Prepare journal entries, cash flow statements, and MIS reports
  • Support internal and statutory audits
  • Coordinate payroll processing and reimbursements
  • Maintain documentation and ensure accuracy of financial data

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of GST, TDS norms & Indian accounting standards
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP, Excel, and basic accounting software
  • Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting and bookkeeping
  • Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processing
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to prepare budgets and conduct financial forecasting
  • Familiarity with financial regulations, tax compliance and audit processes
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software and spreadsheet tools
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA certification is a plus
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a technology or industrial company, is an advantage
