JOB ROLE:

• Generate accurate food bills for patients, staff, or visitors.
• Use POS (Point of Sale) or manual billing systems as required.
• Collect cash or digital payments (UPI, card, etc.).
• Ensure proper change is returned when applicable.
• Maintain a daily cash register and reconcile at the end of the shift.
• Maintain records of meals provided to admitted patients (if applicable).
• Coordinate with nursing stations for patient diet plans or prepaid billing.
• Keep track of daily sales, discounts, and free meals (if applicable).
• Submit daily reports to the canteen supervisor or accounts department.
• Politely attend to customer queries and complaints regarding billing.
• Ensure billing area is clean and organized.
• Work with kitchen staff to confirm food items and availability.
• Coordinate with hospital administration for billing of staff meals (if on credit or monthly deductions).

Qualifications:

• Minimum education: Plus Two (+2) or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of computer operations and billing software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Common Shift Timings:

• Morning Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Afternoon Shift: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Shift Rotation:

• Shifts may rotate weekly or monthly depending on staffing.
