PEB Design Engineer head

· Lead the entire design and detailing team involved in structural steel design for PEB projects.

· Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, fabrication drawings, and connection details.

· Ensure all designs are optimized for structural stability, material usage, cost efficiency, and fabrication feasibility.

· Coordinate with cross-functional teams including sales, project management, procurement, and execution to align design intent with project requirements.

· Interact with clients, consultants, and contractors to understand technical needs and provide value-engineered solutions.

· Oversee planning and allocation of design resources across multiple projects to ensure timely delivery.

· Ensure adherence to design standards such as IS codes, AISC, MBMA, and other relevant industry practices.

· Conduct technical audits, peer reviews, and quality checks of engineering output.

· Mentor and develop the technical skills of junior engineers and draftsmen within the design department.

· Implement design best practices, innovation in design methods, and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Education: B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Civil/Structural Engineering

· Experience: Minimum 10+ years in PEB design, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role

· Software Proficiency: STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, MS Excel, etc.

· Strong understanding of steel design principles and detailing standards

· Proven leadership, team management, and project coordination skills

· Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

Preferred Attributes:

· Hands-on experience with complex PEB/steel building projects

· Sound commercial awareness and the ability to align design with business goals

· Ability to drive performance and maintain high-quality deliverables under pressure

· Familiarity with lean engineering practices and design automation tools is a plus
