Business Development Manager

Role Overview:
You will be responsible for client acquisition, strategic partnerships, pricing, Ideal for someone who can work independently, handle multiple clients in the domain of logistics and food delivery, and turn lead opportunities into business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation:
- Possess a strong professional network and excellent communication skills to generate leads, build relationships, and drive business growth.
- Proactively source potential clients through cold calling, networking, and industry events
2. Client Acquisition & Pitching:
- Develop and deliver compelling sales pitches that address the needs and challenges of potential clients.
- Customize business proposals to meet client needs and drive conversions.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
3. Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business growth.
- Identify target markets, customer segments, and high-potential opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continuously refine sales approaches.
- Align sales strategies with company objectives, pricing models, and marketing initiatives to maximize ROI.
4. Business Growth and Market Expansion:
- Conduct market research and on-ground recce to identify new opportunities.
- Engage in lead generation activities such as cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
- Develop tailored business development strategies to penetrate new markets and enhance revenue.
- Identify and approach potential clients and partners, understand their needs, and offer customized solutions that align with their business objectives.
- Develop business strategies focused on ROI-driven expansion, including showroom development.
- Identify and establish new channels for businessincluding cafs, apparel, and branding spaces.
5. Pricing & Proposal Management:
- Create competitive pricing models and negotiate effectively to maintain profitability.
- Draft and negotiate contracts, proposals, and business agreements.
- Support the planning and execution of strategies across Product, Price, Place, and Promotion.
6. Sales & Negotiation:
- Lead the sales process, from initial contact to closing deals.
- Prepare and present proposals, including pricing, timelines, and contractual terms.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure successful implementation of agreements.
7. Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business development and account management.
- Coordinate and negotiate commercial contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Ensure exceptional service and customer experience by addressing client needs promptly, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining high satisfaction levels throughout the sales and post-sales process.
8. Operations & Execution
- Support the setup of new showrooms, pop-ups, or caf outlets from scratchsite selection to launch.
- Oversee partner onboarding, daily deliverables, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure timely and smooth service/product delivery to clients or partners.
9. Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify pricing, new products, and competitor activity within the automotive industry.
- Analyze data and client feedback to refine and improve business strategies.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies to ensure targets are met.
10. Conversion & ROI Focus:
- Convert business opportunities into closed deals, ensuring each deal contributes to the companys revenue goals.
- Focus on driving a high return on investment (ROI) from all business development activities.
- Track and measure the success of business development initiatives and continuously refine strategies.
11. Multitasking & Time Management:
- Effectively manage multiple client accounts and business opportunities simultaneously.
- Prioritize tasks and ensure deadlines are met while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
- Handle all aspects of business development including client communication to contact closure.
12. Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Collaborate with product development, marketing, and technical teams to align business development efforts with company offerings.
- Provide feedback and insights to help shape product offerings and improve customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the finance and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of products/services to clients.
13. Reporting & Performance Tracking:
- Provide regular reports on sales progress, forecasts, and achievements.
- Maintain proper records for sales pipeline and client interactions.
- Present performance reviews to senior leadership, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a client-facing role, preferably in the automobile/mobility industry or related fields.
- Proven track record in client acquisition, sales pitching, and closing deals.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the automotive industry, including market trends, key players, and supply chain dynamics.
Skills:
- Proven experience in sales and client acquisition.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to pitch and negotiate confidently.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to understand and capitalize on market data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Education: Bachelor in Business Administration, Master's degree in Business Administration, Sales field, Engineering, or a related field.
