What You'll Do

As the Senior Manager AI Applications, you will serve as a leader who drives the vision, execution, and growth of Teradata's AI Applications Portfolio. Acting as a "mini-CEO," you will operate with end-to-end accountability across the transformation of the Apps space through the AI transformation.

In this role you will lead a critical and highly visible team within Teradata AI Applications Platform. As an Agentic AI Leader at Teradata, you'll build cutting-edge intelligent agents that transform how users explore data, derive insights, and automate workflows across industries such as healthcare, finance, and telecommunications.

As a hands-on leader you will work with a team of highly skilled AI engineers to design and implement autonomous AI agents for enterprise level use cases supporting varied industry applications, like customer 360, real-time decisioning, semantic search, text-to-SQL translation, and analytical task execution.

You'll work alongside high-caliber teams of AI researchers, engineers, and data scientists tackling some of the hardest problems in AI and enterprise software.

Infrastructure and platform teams responsible for training, evaluation, and scaling AI workloads.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

8+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership, including at least 2 years focused on AI/ML, intelligent systems, or agent-based architectures.

Over 5 years of management experience leading strong engineering teams.

Deep understanding of software design principles and scalable architecture patterns.

Strong experience with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) and agentic frameworks (e.g., AutoGen, LangGraph, AgentBuilder, CrewAI).

Proven ability to build complex multi-step workflows using prompt pipelines, tools, and adaptive reasoning.

Familiarity with agent evaluation metrics: correctness, latency, grounding, and tool use accuracy.

Experience leading AI projects from inception to deployment in a production setting.

Strong Java (or similar programming languages like Go, etc) programming skills with solid understanding of data structures. Proficient in concepts like Multithreading.

Good knowledge of SQL and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).

What You'll Bring

BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

A solid foundation in software engineering principles, including system design, data structures, algorithms, and distributed computing.

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment where engineers take full ownership from concept to deployment.

Experience deploying and operating intelligent systems in production environments with live users and evolving requirements.
