We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Pune (Hybrid- In office 3 days a week). 

Role Purpose:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Insurance Business Analyst with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive, end-to-end understanding of the insurance business lifecycle. You will be a key leader in driving strategic initiatives, serving as the subject matter expert who bridges the gap between complex business needs and technical solutions. This role demands deep expertise across multiple insurance business processes, from sales and distribution to claims settlement, with a proven ability to lead and mentor teams.

Responsibilities
End-to-End Business Analysis: Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of requirements for complex projects across the entire insurance value chain. This includes understanding the impact of changes from quotation and underwriting through to policy administration and claims processes.Strategic Domain Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on various insurance business processes, including Bancassurance, Embedded Insurance, Financial Advisor (FA) journeys, and direct-to-consumer channels.Stakeholder Management: Proactively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including C-level executives, sales teams, underwriters, claims adjusters, and IT development teams. You will facilitate workshops, manage expectations, and drive consensus on critical business requirements.Process Optimization & Transformation: Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes (AS-IS) and design future-state processes (TO-BE). Identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and digital transformation to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience.Solution Leadership: Work closely with solution architects and technical teams to design solutions that are not only technically feasible but also strategically aligned with business goals. You will provide guidance and validation throughout the project development lifecycle.Mentorship and Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning. You will review project deliverables, provide constructive feedback, and lead by example.Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Additional course or certification in Business Analysis and Insurance Domain

Desirable:

  • Project Management qualification.
  • Management qualification or relevant years of experience.
Essential skills
Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a significant portion of that time spent within the insurance sector.End-to-End Understanding: Demonstrated expertise in the complete insurance business lifecycle, including core processes like:Distribution Channels: Bancassurance, Embedded, and direct-to-consumer.New Business: Quotation, FA journey (lead management, quoting, proposal generation), and Underwriting.Post-Sales: Policy Administration, servicing, and renewals.Claims: First notice of loss (FNOL), adjudication, settlement, and subrogation.Technical Acumen: Proficient with business analysis tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Visio) and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau). Experience with agile methodologies is essential.Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. A proven ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and drive significant business outcomes.Benefits
