- Concept and architect automated warehouse systems and standards that support these systems.
- Analysis of inputs and User Requirements in order to determine feasibility of systems that meet specifications.
- Must be capable of conceptualizing Warehouse Automation systems from verbal concepts / discussions on requirements with clients.
- Perform required engineering calculations with respect to cycle time, loads, standard packaging types for the proposed warehouse systems.
- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine requirements in the development of equipment to meet specifications.
- Produce concept designs, models and bills of materials for equipment, in collaboration with Suppliers.
- Work with large global logistics integrators to optimize systems from technical information and specifications.
- Analyze designs and systems for compliance to applicable standards (i.e. CE or customer specific).
- Make recommendations for warehouse systems based on available input and analysis.
- Formalize and update drawing documentation with Design & Engineering team.
- Liaise with fabricators, machinists, toolmakers and electricians in the completion of equipment and resolving problems during System delivery.
