Position Overview

Job Title: Level-1 System Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a Level-1 System Engineer to provide first-level technical support, monitor IT systems, and assist in maintaining the overall health of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of networking, servers, and operating systems, and be able to troubleshoot routine technical issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:


•Monitor and maintain IT systems, including servers, desktops, and network devices.


•Provide first-level support to end-users via phone, email, or ticketing system.


•Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network issues and escalate to Level-2 or higher when necessary.


•Perform routine system checks, backups, and maintenance tasks.


•Document incidents, resolutions, and system changes accurately in the ticketing system.


•Assist in installing, configuring, and updating software and hardware as per IT policies.


•Ensure compliance with company IT policies, procedures, and security standards.


•Support IT projects and deployments as required.

Qualifications:


•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).


•Basic understanding of Windows/Linux operating systems & networking concepts.


•Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.


•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience:


•2-3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or related field.

Skills:


•Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.


•Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
