The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and trustworthy 
Systems Administrator
 to build, manage, and secure our entire IT infrastructure. As a foundational member of our technical team, you will be the backbone of our operations, ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and secure as we launch and grow. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with deep expertise in networking, cloud hosting, and cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management:
     Design, deploy, and maintain our cloud infrastructure (preferably on AWS).
  • System Security:
     Implement and manage robust security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and access control policies to safeguard company and user data.
  • Network Administration:
     Ensure the stability and integrity of all network services, including LAN, WAN, and cloud networking.
  • Performance Monitoring:
     Continuously monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
  • Backup & Recovery:
     Develop and manage comprehensive backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Automation:
     Automate routine administrative tasks and processes using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Collaboration:
     Work closely with the software development team to support application deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or a similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms 
    (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is essential)

  • In-depth knowledge of server operating systems (especially Linux).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls, Load Balancing).
  • Demonstrable expertise in cybersecurity best practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with database administration (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A high degree of integrity and trustworthiness is absolutely essential for this role.
