Position Title: Manager Quality

1. Position Overview

The Manager Quality is responsible for overseeing the Quality function across multiple manufacturing plants and vendor locations. The role involves ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, minimizing customer complaints and claims, and building a culture of quality excellence. The incumbent must possess deep knowledge of Quality Assurance and Inspection within the Footwear Industry, along with strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

2. Educational Qualification

  • Essential: B.Sc. in Footwear Technology
  • Preferred: P.G. Diploma / M.Sc. in Footwear Technology

3. Experience

  • Required: 10–12 years of progressive experience in the Footwear Industry, preferably in Quality Assurance, Process Inspection, or Manufacturing Quality roles.

4. Reporting Structure

  • Reports To: AGM – Quality
  • Team Reporting: Leads a team of 40 Quality Checkers across 10 plants and vendor premises

5. Work Details

  • Location: Bahadurgarh (Routine visits to Bhiwadi and Haridwar)
  • Working Days & Timings: Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

6. Additional Requirements

  • Excellent proficiency in Advanced Excel, MS Office, PowerPoint, and Power BI for analytical report preparation and presentations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure.

7. Key Responsibilities

A. Financial Responsibilities

  • Oversee all potential claims to ensure minimal financial impact on the company.
  • Obtain approvals for compensation payments and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.

B. Customer Orientation

  • Acknowledge and resolve internal customer complaints within defined timelines.
  • Maintain transparent communication and provide regular updates on complaint resolutions and improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with clients for updates and quality-related discussions.

C. People Orientation

  • Escalate unresolved issues to the Line Manager while coordinating with Production and Vendor Production teams.
  • Guide, train, and mentor Quality Checkers to maintain consistent performance and adherence to quality standards.

D. Internal Business Process / Functional Responsibilities

  • Ensure completion of labeling, testing, and due diligence activities before any production changes.
  • Coordinate production and quality checks as per defined schedules and standards.
  • Identify and report discrepancies in the production plan, proposing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Define and communicate quality guidelines to contract manufacturers and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor inventory levels, material acceptance, rejections, and deviations at every testing stage.
  • Propose and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) effectively.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and documentation in IMIS for all quality transactions.
  • Prepare and share Quality MIS reports with the reporting authority as per defined frequency.
