Job Summary:

We are looking for a Junior IT Support Engineer (Linux & AWS) to join our dynamic team at Codenatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Linux system administration, desktop support, and basic networking, along with a foundational understanding of AWS services. This role involves maintaining IT infrastructure, supporting end-users, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting in cloud operations. It's an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in system administration and cloud technologies within a collaborative and learning-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux desktop and server environments.
  • Provide desktop support for end-users (hardware, OS, applications, peripherals).
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting (LAN, Wi-Fi, IP configuration, routers/switches).
  • Good to have:
    Assist in AWS tasks such as IAM user creation, region selection, and basic service configuration.
  • Support cloud operations across AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Monitor systems, perform routine maintenance, and escalate issues when required.
  • Document procedures, maintain logs, and perform device audits for support activities.

Required Skills:

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in IT support or system administration.
  • Strong understanding of Linux installation, configuration, and commands.
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
  • Hands-on desktop support experience (Windows/Linux troubleshooting).
  • Basic awareness of AWS:
  • IAM (users, groups, permissions)
  • Regions & availability zones
  • Basic service configuration
  • Understanding of cloud fundamentals and troubleshooting methods
  • Basic knowledge of VMware and Git is a plus.
